AB Hörby Bruk is responsible for the personal information you provide to us. This policy specifies the information AB Hörby Bruk collects, how this information is managed and the purpose for which it is used.
The information covered by this policy
This policy covers the processing of personal information. Personal information implies such information that can be associated with a physical person, e.g. name, address, e-mail address and telephone number. When is the information collected and what information is saved?
AB Hörby Bruk only collects personal information that is necessary, relevant and not superfluous for the purpose for which it is intended. AB Hörby Bruk will not collect additional information from the registered individual aside from that which he/she indicates. The information that one is required to provide when placing an order via the e-shop is specifically mentioned and no order can be performed if this information is not provided. Other information will only be saved if the registered party has voluntarily provided it.
Normally, AB Hörby Bruk collects the personal information that is displayed when you (a natural or legal person):
- register as a customer in our e-shop (agreement)
- conclude an agreement with AB Hörby Bruk, e.g. as a customer or supplier (agreement)
- sign up for a subscription service, e.g. a newsletter (consent)
- apply for vacant positions or register your interest for a job or internship with us, or
- visit us at AB Hörby Bruk, seek contact with us or otherwise come into contact with us. (consent)
The purpose of saving the information
AB Hörby Bruk is responsible for the personal information you provide to us in accordance with the above. When you register, you also accept that AB Hörby Bruk will store and use this information in order to be able to fulfil its commitments and provide you with the best possible service. The information will also be saved to meet the regulations in accounting legislation. AB Hörby Bruk may eventually also use the information for marketing purposes.
In the event you contact us but are not counted as a customer pursuant to the aforementioned paragraph, your information will be used for the purposes for which that information has been provided. For example, it may be with regard to inquiries, applications for vacant positions or participation in questionnaires and surveys.
At any time, you may request to be deregistered from newsletters or other mailings from AB Hörby Bruk.
Transfer of personal information to a third party
You personal information will only be handed over to a third party if this is a requirement for meeting commitments to you as a customer. Third parties can include suppliers in order to manage the transport of ordered products.
The IT systems used by AB Hörby Bruk are compatible with the provisions in GDPR.
How long will the information be saved?
Your information will not be saved for longer than what is necessary to fulfil the purposes stated above or as long as we are obliged to save your personal information by law. After this, your information will be erased. If consent is given for continued marketing, the information will be saved until you request that the information be erased.
Information provided in connection with you seeking employment or an internship with us will be saved for 12 months and then erased.
Your rights
Anybody whose personal information has been collected has the right to receive an annual abstract from AB Hörby Bruk showing what information we have stored about you and how that information is being used. Such a request must be in writing. You have the right to retract your consent to collection and, if there are no legal obstacles, have your information erased. You also have the right to have your information corrected in the event incorrect information has been recorded. AB Hörby Bruk will take the necessary security measures to protect your information from unauthorised access and use and also has an internal IT security policy to avoid incidents.
Anybody whose personal information is not registered with AB Hörby Bruk has the right to request a transfer of the information to another data controller. This applies to information that the registered party has consciously and actively provided as well as information that emerged as a result of the activities of the registered party. The request must be in writing.

All visitors should be aware that our websites may contain links to and from other websites not covered by this or any other personal information policy. AB Hörby Bruk’s e-shop

A session cookie is created when a visitor is on one of our web pages. It is then temporarily stored in the visitor’s computer. The session cookie disappears when the visitor closes his/her web browser. No personal information about the visitor such as mailing address or names will be saved.
