Good to knowAll material to be spread must be dry. Gently shake your spreader and stir the contents of the hopper from time to time so the material is distributed more evenly. The cotter pin acts as an agitator when, for example, you use salt or gravel in your spreader. Remove it if you are using larger crushed stone or similar material. Make sure that the control is fully open.
